Amazing
I rented this cabin with my fiance and another couple. We were extremely impressed with the cleanliness, that's the first thing we noticed. The kitchenware that was available to us was clean, and everything was tidy and organized. The space was great. We loved the pool table. We also loved the puzzles and board games that were available for our use! The cabin itself is ideally located. Few minute walk away from Apex village, and right on the main road so very easy to find. We're definitely coming back. Only regret was that our stay was so short.. Thanks to the owners for making our stay such a memorable one!

Well beyond our expectations
What a fantastic 2 weeks. This property was really impressed us, lots of room, never have I seen so many electrical outlets, really nice in our electronic age.The silence is awesome, no noisy vehicles, just peace & quiet. Great BBQ area, lots of prep area in the kitchen, newly remodeled bathroom & both bedrooms large & roomy. Fantastic view of the lake & the hills, fantastic sunrises & great afterglow sunsets. This is a great area to jump off to other locations, south to the U.S., North to Oliver, OKFalls,Penticton & beyond. Visited a good number of wineries & other interesting areas. We have booked properties on VRBO for many years in Mexico, this is our first booking at home, we are hoping to return to this property next year for another 2 weeks. Thank you, John & Krista for the use of your suite, fantastic.

Comfortable & well-stocked apartment.
This apartment was great for our weekend in the Okanagan. It comfortably slept 5 of us and had everything we needed during our stay including a well stocked kitchen & lots of linens. The view from the patio was amazing and we enjoyed sipping coffee out there in the mornings.

Loved this place. The pool and outside area is fantastic. May want to subscribe to a wider variety of channels including some sports. Also would be great to see Info on local attractions. Thanks so much for a great visit.

An Amazing Spot!

This was a great 2 bedroom suite with everything we needed for our 5 night stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Villa. The suite was just as the pictures show. We quickly felt "at home" for our 5 night stay. We would recommend this to anyone visiting the Osoyoos area and would stay again if we were back. Thanks John and Krista.

Great location, very private, lots of space... close to lots of stuff. Would stay again!!
It was nice to have so much room for the family. Great view out the backyard like pics show. The place was well stocked with towels as well as some day to day items which was great. Nice quite area (last night we were there next door had a party but they shut it down by 1030 so no issues there seems like a quite street). Was a little worried because there is a living space above but it seems they do a good job vetting there guest as the 2 other groups that stayed upstairs were not nosy @ all! Also the place was extremely clean which was great. Lots of outdoor seating as well as a BBQ (with a spare tank!!!). Good location, close to beach, shops, etc! T

Bliss
We stayed a week over Canada Day weekend and we did not want to leave! -Wonderful hosts who were discreet but always available to help if we needed assistance. Our only issue throughout the one week stay was with the wi-fi which was resolved within minutes. Immaculately maintained accommodation that looks brand new. We slept so well that our intended 8am starts each day gradually crept on to 10am! The swimming pool is incredible and the whole yard is heavenly. Hiking trails within a one minute walk- I recommend the hike to Egg Rock for amazing views. We are already planning our trip for next year.

Comfortable

Super clean and professionally landscaped basement suite.
The property comprises a two bedroom suite both with full bathrooms. The property is modern, super clean and professionally landscaped. The north east bedroom is a bit dark as it has no windows. The weather was cool while we were there and did not have the opportunity to use the pool. Our stay was marred by a nocturnal banging noise affecting us in the north east bedroom. It kept us awake on at least two of the nights and woke the writer up at 4:00 am on our last night. Initially we thought the noise was something from upstairs but it was random in frequency, intensity and length of time. We suspect that the noise originates from the pool pump which is located outside and adjacent to the bedroom. Don’t think that we would rebook the property unless we were 100% sure the nocturnal noise had been resolved. Suite living area contains a large flat screen TV and a leather recliner type love seat, chair and sofa —- all of which seemed to be in as new condition. The owner might consider adding some sports channels to his cable TV.
Our response:
The North east bedroom does have a window for egress. As far as the noise you heard, if we would have been notified we would have had this fixed immediately. We have not received any other noise complaints from other guests.

Comfortable and Close!
We love Apex and wanted to bring our children to the mountain to learn to ski. We were looking for somewhere that was close to the bunny hill and slopes, but also comfortable for the anticipated down time, as well as having two bedrooms. This place was great. We could drive right up to the steps leading to the apartment to unload and pack up the car, and the bunny hill couldn’t have been closer – out the building and across the square. Many of the amenities were actually in the same building as the apartment, so it was the most central we could have been. Nice and warm, plenty of sofa space to rest our weary limbs, a well-equipped kitchen and lots of storage for all the ski gear at the door. Many thanks to the owners for their prompt and helpful responses to all enquiries.

Awesome property & hospitality
We had a wonderful weekend, enjoying the beautiful accommodations, the outdoor living with the pool, lounge chairs & BBQ. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely try to book this accommodation again on a future trip to Pentiction. Would highly recommend to our friends & family.

Great location, beautiful views
The location was great, walkable to a beach and a short drive or longer walk to another beach and the main shops. The property has been recently finished and thoughtful done so. The owners were really friendly and helpful. A great place to stay to explore Osoyoos.

A refuge from camping and small hotel rooms
This was a very nice suite, located in a residential neighborhood in a basement walkout. Having 2 kids under 7 and a baby, this was a welcome alternative to a hotel suite or straight camping. The suite makes a good impression and is well stocked with amenities. While this place was perfect for our family, it's probably not a target if you intend on all night partying due to it's close proximity to neighbors. John and Krista are excellent at responding to emails quickly and efficiently. We had no issues whatsoever and would completely look to book again the next time we're in Osoyoos.

Cozy, Cute and Close to Town
Stayed here with a group of 8 for the weekend. The cabin was clean, well stocked and warm. John and Krista responded promptly to all my inquiries. Everything works, there is plenty of space and games and the town is close by if you did forget anything. My friend said he enjoyed the ATV trails nearby as well. Would return in a heartbeat!
The suite is very nice. Top standard and a fantastic location. Loved it. Overall great place.

Great location, spacious cabin with room for whole family plus a few extras.
My family and I enjoyed a weekend away in the woods and had a great time at this cabin. Loved the wood stove and the pool table was a hit with everyone. Kids had a blast biking around and exploring. Great cabin to spend some quality family time in. Can't wait to come back this winter!

John was very quick to reply to all of our emails and he made us feel like the place was ours. It was very well stocked with all the kitchen amenities you could want and the home was very spacious. The kids loved the board games and we had several chuckles playing some "oldies"!! The location could not have been better in relation to the village...a 5 min walk to where the wedding and reception took place. It was so great and I hope we have the opportunity to stay again.

I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful rental home – it’s conveniently located, with all the necessary amenities and has an amazing view of the water and just a short walk away from the beautiful lake. We really liked that it was in a quiet, residential area as opposed to the busier hotel side of Osoyoos. John and Krista were very friendly and accommodating – allowing us to park our vehicle at the rental before check in since we had a wine tour to attend. They were also quick to respond via email to any questions we had regarding the rental. Overall – a great place to stay with awesome hosts!

WOW! Great cabin close to Penticton
My wife and I with our three kids stayed at Holy Smoke for the weekend and had a great time. Less than 30 mins to Penticton is a bonus for getting the kids to the channel or lakes. Coming home to a great cabin was awesome. Everything in the cabin worked..... Which is nice! The cabin has a good lay out with plenty of room. And the outside area was spacious and relaxing for sure.... Easy way to unwind. If we get a chance wouldn't mind checking the area out in the winter.

The cabin was everything that we had wanted and was exactly as advertised. There were six adults in our group but the cabin would comfortably accommodate more. There were plenty of towels and hot water, just what we needed after a day of hiking, and the pool table was a bonus. We will be returning I'm sure.

A Hidden Gem! WE LOVED IT!
Hats off to the owners of this mountain treasure! We will definitely be back and completely enjoyed our stay.We chose this mountain retreat because of the price (3 floors of living space! wow!) the privacy and the location to Penticton as well as Keremeos. The drive is very pleasant with country scenery along the way, we timed it and it took us 27 minutes from our cabin doorstep to downtown Penticton, well worth the drive! The photos ARE what the cabin looks like, no worries there. The cabin décor is charming and what an added treat of a games room for entertaining. Very clean and very nicely done! Comfortable furniture, comfy beds, I think new linens too! Loads of space for the family including two very spotless full bathrooms. We loved having the use of the brand new washer and dryer as well. Night time spent around the cozy fire added to our experience , the kids LOVED hot dogs and s'mores dinners! The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We will be back and thank our hosts who provided a wonderful vacation home for us. We will see you soon!!!

Beautiful and lots of great memories
My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and inviting. It was comfortable and all appliances, plumbing and heating worked as expected. It's a short drive to Pentiction ( approx 25 min) which made going out for dinner easy when we did not want to cook. The biking and hiking was unbelievable and the weather too. Thank you for the wonderful stay in your beautiful home.

I've got cabin fever!
Nothing but peace and quiet! A wonderful get away for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors. Clean and comfortable for our large family. We look forward to coming back this winter for ski season. And a big thanks to John and Krista for accommodating us on short notice.

We stayed during summer season, so resort was closed. This cabin is spacious yet cozy, with a large backyard. Nice firepit in the back and plenty of supplies to enjoy the country. kitchen is fully equiped and theres a nice pool table in the basement. Youre not too far from penticton, about half hour away. My only hesitation with this place is that its a bid of a drive from lower mainland, 4.5 hrs, and most of the beds range from not so comfortable to unconfortable. The host however is a great communicator and responds quickly to inquiries. Only reason i wouldnt come here again is the drive and the beds, otherwise its a great cabin.

Our hosts were quick to reply when we had a question. Easy access with the electronic entry. We visited in the off season so there were very few people around. We got in lots of hiking and exploring. We had a great stay! Even though it rained on the second day we had a good time in the cabin reading, and playing pool!

Holy Smoke is beautiful! It is right in the mountain so we were greeted with a light dusting of snow. We comfortably fit 15 people and cooked a turkey dinner easily in the large kitchen. It is rustic and feels like a cottage but also has all amenities. The woodstove adds a cozy feel. John sent me a code for the cottage a couple hours before check in. I liked this method as it felt like our own cottage for the weekend. I could have easily stayed for a week or more! Thank you John & Amy

Kitchen well equipped and open to rest of living space, so those doing meal prep didn't feel left out. There were 10 of us so we had to use the sofa beds which weren't as comfortable as the beds (but when are they and there were extra foamies). We made the 2 bathrooms work, but a larger group might find them a constraint. Lots of parking, BBQ and shed full of wood for the wood stove. Good value, we'd definitely stay again!
I really enjoyed staying at John's place. I was in the area for work and needed a place to chill in the evenings. Kitchen has everything you need and the beds are comfortable. Nice outdoor space to hang out and enjoy the view. John was responsive when we couldnt get the Wifi to connect as well. I would suggest this place for a family or group of friends looking for a relaxing weekend of wine touring. Very friendly neighbors as well!
